Please note that these annotations are for informational purposes only and are intended to help you follow the text. They are not legally binding and do not alter the meaning of the official Terms.
Our Terms of Service explain the rules and agreements you are accepting when you use Sustainable Trades. By using our platform, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agreed to these Terms. The annotations throughout this document are here to help clarify the content but do not change the legal meaning of the Terms.
1. Accepting These Terms
Welcome to Sustainable Trades! These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your access to and use of the website, platform, applications, services, and tools (collectively, the Services) provided by Sustainable Trades. By using our Services, you are agreeing to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and any other policies referenced in this document (collectively, the “Agreement”). Please read this Agreement carefully, as it includes important information about your legal rights, limitations of liability, and your responsibilities when using our Services.
If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing to this Agreement on behalf of that organization, and you represent and warrant that you have the authority to do so. References to you, your, or user in these Terms include both individuals and organizations using our Services.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, you may not use the Services.
Sustainable Trades is currently available only to users based in the United States. Any transactions, disputes, or use of the Services are governed by the laws of the United States, specifically the laws of the state of Colorado, where Sustainable Trades is headquartered.
We strive to make these Terms fair and clear, but if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us for clarification.
To use Sustainable Trades, you can create an account or shop as a guest. Whether you create an account or shop as a guest, you are bound by these Terms. If you create an account, you're responsible for its security, and you must be at least 16 years old to do so.
2. Creating Your Account
To use Sustainable Trades, you’ll need to create an account. Sustainable Trades offers two types of accounts, with the only exception being Guest Shoppers:
Member Accounts (Pro or Basic Membership): These are for shop owners and service providers using Sustainable Trades to sell goods or services.
Sustainable Shopper Accounts: These are for individuals looking to enjoy a more personalized shopping experience on the platform.
Guest Shopper: You can shop on Sustainable Trades as a guest without creating an account. Even as a guest, you are still legally bound by the Terms and Conditions outlined in this document.
2.1 Account RegistrationTo access certain features of our Services, such as selling on the platform or saving personalized preferences, you must first create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and are responsible for ensuring that this information remains accurate at all times, as we may use it to contact you regarding your account.
2.2 Guest CheckoutYou have the option to shop on Sustainable Trades as a guest, meaning you do not need to create an account to make a purchase. By shopping as a guest, you still agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions in this document, just as if you had registered for an account.
2.3 Account SecurityIf you choose to create an account, it’s your responsibility to keep it secure. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including your password, and for any activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access or believe your account information has been compromised, you must notify us immediately. Sustainable Trades will not be liable for unauthorized activity on your account.
2.4 Age RestrictionThe Services are not intended for and may not be used by anyone under the age of 16, whether you create an account or shop as a guest. By using Sustainable Trades in any capacity, including as a guest shopper, you represent that you are at least 16 years old. If you are under the age of 18, you may need parental or guardian consent, depending on the laws of your state, and they may need to enter into this Agreement on your behalf.
2.5 Responsibility for Your AccountYou are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. If you are registering as a business entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of that entity. Accounts are not transferable, and it is your responsibility to keep your account information confidential.
2.6 Protect Your PasswordAs we mentioned above, you’re solely responsible for any activity on your account, so it’s important to keep your account password secure.
2.7 Relationship ClarificationThese Terms do not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or franchisee relationship between you and Sustainable Trades.
